In 1996, we originally began as the Lakewood Unified School District Organizing Committee with the primary goal of forming a single unified school district for Lakewood.
We have since evolved into a committee of concerned citizens and a 501(c)(3) foundation committed to improving educational opportunities for children in Lakewood, CA.
We provide direct financial support to Lakewood teachers and advocate on behalf of Lakewood children and parents.

PUSD Update
We are still evaluating options to deal with the Paramount Unified School District. A course of action should be decided soon. We will keep you posted.

PUSD has long allowed Lakwood Elementary School to falter. In fact, not just falter, but to hit rock bottom and stay there. Quite obviously, they have no intentions of improving the school. It's time for Paramount Unified to get the heck out of Lakewood.
