In 1996, we originally began as the Lakewood Unified School District Organizing Committee with the primary goal of forming a single unified school district for Lakewood. We have since evolved into a committee of concerned citizens and a 501(c)(3) foundation committed to improving educational opportunities for children in Lakewood, CA. We provide direct financial support to Lakewood teachers and advocate on behalf of Lakewood children and parents.

Teacher Grants

Hello Everyone:

It's time again for our mini teacher grants. The press release will be submitted to the Press Telegram tomorrow (November 5th) and all submissions will be due within one week of publication. We expect to provide approximately $12,000 this year. Please alert your favorite teacher to this great and very popular opportunity. Please e-mail with any questions.
